Rotaforms implementation story

Rotaforms uses a Register and Deploy workflow to create bin Asset records, link RFID Tags and associate each Asset with its intended property.

Check your RFID readiness

A bin with two handheld scanners placed on top of it. One scanner has a mobile device affixed to it displaying the interface of the Ledger app. The camera angle faces down on the bin, not displaying any other information such as private address.

Customer context

The Rotaforms project involves assigning bins to properties and linking each physical bin to an RFID Tag during the deployment process.

The operational need

The programme needs a reliable record connecting the intended property, the physical Asset and its RFID identity as the deployment work occurs.

The Ledger workflow

Ledger starts from the intended property or destination, creates the Asset record, links the RFID Tag and records the association through the deployment workflow.

What the implementation enables

Staff can review progress through the defined Ledger workflow and see which Asset record and RFID Tag were associated with the intended destination.

Implementation boundary

The council may read the RFID Tags again in its own operations. Ledger does not currently receive or interpret those later observations as part of this stage. That would require a separately implemented reader and integration workflow.
