Waste and Property Services

Create the Asset record and property association during deployment, giving teams a clearer view of progress through the defined workflow.

Registration at the point of deployment

Property-service programmes may need to connect a physical bin or related Asset to a property, route or other destination. Recording this later creates reconciliation work and uncertainty about deployment progress.

Where Ledger fits

  • Begin with the intended property or destination record.
  • Scan the Asset as it is registered or deployed.
  • Create the Asset record and link the RFID Tag.
  • Associate the Asset with the intended destination.
  • Show progress through the defined deployment workflow.

An important boundary

Ledger records the steps implemented in the Ledger deployment workflow. It does not currently imply that Ledger receives later RFID observations made by a council, truck or third-party system.

Future observations can be assessed as a separate integration when the reader, data contract and operational purpose are known.

See the named Rotaforms implementation story for project-specific context.
